Domain Expiry, Renewal & Grace Period Explained

Domains are not owned forever—they are rented for a specific period (1-10 years).

If you don’t renew your domain before it expires, several things can happen:

1. Active Period
   Your domain is working normally
2. Grace Period (0–30 days)
   You can still renew without extra cost
3. Redemption Period
   Domain is inactive; renewal costs extra
4. Pending Delete
   Domain will soon be released to the public
5. Available Again
   Anyone can register it

To avoid losing your domain, it’s best to enable auto-renewal and keep your contact email updated so you don’t miss renewal reminders.
